Conversion

Converting data from one format to another is rarely compatible. Whenever possible, the platform tries to interpret the changes to minimize the loss of information through the conversions.

Nevertheless, most conversion will result in some kind of loss of meaning. This documentation page focuses on keeping track of which kind of data is a lossy conversion or not. A lossy conversion does not mean that the conversion will not be performed. It mostly means that the outcome cannot be guaranteed.

This internal conversion tool is also used for conversion of values from text during import operations from text files (CSV).
